MY TOP 5!
Music is ever changing and
evolving, different styles come in and out of fashion so quickly it’s hard to
keep up! Along with this, new and different artists are also starting to
emerge, creating new and innovative pieces which are taking society by storm.
With all this new music and artistry sometimes I find it hard to keep up. So I
have complied a list of my Top 5 Inspirational Musos to keep an eye (or ear)
out for. So check it out and maybe there will be a few names bellow you haven’t
heard and end up falling in love with:
11) Jacob Collier:
Jacob Collier is one of my
vocal idols! He is a multi-instrumentalist, composer, arranger and producer who
is currently based in London. His rose to fame was through homemade singing
videos which featured several different screens of himself singing in harmony.
He is also well known for his love of a range of different styles including
jazz, acappella, groove, folk, electronic, classical, gospel, soul and
improvisation. Jacob is signed to Jazz legend Quincy Jones’s Management Company
and has won 2 Grammy's at the age of 23.

2) Tori Kelly
Tori Kelly is another
amazing vocalist whose insane vocal range and musical talent has drawn
attention from people all over the world. She is a singer/songwriter who
writes all kinds of music especially pop, jazz, blues and even alternate. If
you're in the mood for some easy listening or some soft pop you have to check
out Tori Kelly!

3) Esperanza Spalding
Esperanza Spalding is an
American jazz singer and musician. She plays both the electric bass and double
bass, the violin, guitar and numerous other instruments. She was awarded a
scholarship to both Portland State University and the Berklee College of Music
and has been awarded 4 Grammys for her work. She is one of my favourite
musicians and is definitely worth having a listen to.

Lalah Hathaway has some of the most insane vocals you will ever
hear. Her love of jazz and ability to scat has gotten her attention worldwide.
Lalah also has the ability to sing chords! How insane is that. She has the
ability to sing three notes at once all in perfect harmony. Watching and
listening to her perform is stunning

5) Madison Ryan Ward
Madison Ryan Ward is a singer from America with one of the
smoothest tones you will ever here! If you’re in the mood for some easy
listening yet technical music she is definitely the way to go. She is one of my
vocal aspirations and I’m sure you will all love her.
